Memorial Day is coming up and now is the time to start planning your vacation especially if you are planning on traveling out of town. San Diego, being a popular vacation spot, is a great place to spend your holidays as there are plenty of options for recreation and entertainment. San Diego Memorial Day weekends are often spent visiting the any number of the many historical locations in the city but they are also spent by locals and travelers as a way of kicking off the summer. This often means the beaches get start to get crowded for the first time of year. If you are visiting San Diego this Memorial Day you may want to come early to stake out your spot.

San Diego beaches are well known for their year round pleasant temperature. Many surfers can be found year round hitting the ocean surf while general beach goers can almost always be found boogie-boarding or wading in the shallow waters. By Memorial Day the waters have warmed up a good deal from the winter months and they can get quite crowded.

Luckily San Diego has many quality beaches to choose from and almost all of the coastline is available for holiday celebrations and vacationers. From the northern San Diego coastline you can easily find spots to celebrate your weekend in Oceanside, Down to Del Mar. La Jolla Shores beaches offer plenty of family friendly beach space. You can also hit up the more party-centric beaches of PB, and Mission Bay or enjoy the local feel of beaches such as Ocean Beach and Dog Beach in Pt. Loma.

Coronado Island offers a lovely beach for many vacationers staying at the Hotel Del Coronado. This beach is protected by the bay and the peninsula stretching out to Point Loma. Similarly, the southern beaches along the Strand connecting Coronado Island to the mainland and Imperial Beach offer luxury beaches for the southern part of the city.

Almost all of these beaches will be buzzing this Memorial Day weekend and every major holiday throughout the summer. If you are planning to get away and do some vacationing in San Diego make sure to make plans to spend some of your time at a local beach. It’s once of the best ways to celebrate the summer holidays in the city.

Where To Hire A Car In Lanzarote

When you’re making your travel preparations, be sure to include your car rental considerations in your travel checklist. Here’s an article discussing car hire (auto rental) when visiting Spain.

You have several options of where to hire a car in the Spanish island of Lanzarote. We’ll look at a couple of them here so that you have the information you need to decide what is best for your holiday before you go. (You may be more familiar with the term “car rental”, we’ll use the term “car hire” here.)

Airport Car Hire Lanzarote

Most people sort out a car from one of the car hire Lanzarote airport providers. This saves the cost of a taxi or the hassle of a bus to get to your resort. As there are a lot of providers operating at the airport you have plenty of choice when it comes to finding the right car for your circumstances.

If you arrange you car hire ahead of your arrival you will be able to get your car as soon as you arrive and start to enjoy your holiday. Remember that if you arrange you car hire through a third party like your travel agent or hotel then you will be far more likely to pay more as they will take a commission on the hire.

Car Hire From Where You Are Staying

If you are on a package deal that includes airport transfers then you may not need a car to get you from the airport. If you just want to hire a car for the odd day trip then hiring a car from a provider can be a good option. Bear in mind that these providers tend to be more expensive than those at the airport and some of the independent ones have older cars.

These are the two many ways of sorting out your Lanzarote car hire. Do you research as you may find that hiring a car in advance from one of the suppliers at the airport could be a lot cheaper than hiring for just a couple of days from a provider near your hotel. Think about what you want to do on your holiday and what you can afford. If you are just planning to relax by the pool then a bus transfer may be best, but if you want to get out and explore the island then car hire is a must.
