One Way Rental Cars
One way rental cars will soon be available by Hertz, and is already available with Avis. Save the hassle of a taxi and rent one-way from Avis between New York City and Newark Airport, with rates starting at just $25! The rental car sharing program is going to begin one way car rentals between Manhattan and metro airports such as Newark’s Liberty International Airport before the year is over. This program will offer a rental car for a flat fee. This fee will be competitive with taxi or livery fares. The car renters could also drop off the car at JFK or LaGuardia airports at the Hertz area. The program is under development and is expected to start by December. This will allow Hertz to compete with car sharing programs that allow people to rent a car by the hour. This is a great deal that I hope soon goes nationwide. I once needed an Iowa City car to go to Ames but couldn’t find anyone willing to rent or just drive me one way. This will take awhile to go national, but it will be a great deal.
One way rentals is not something new really as moving companies or companies with moving trucks for rent have been doing one way rentals for years. One of those companies is Penske truck rental which lets people rent their trucks in various sizes. All trucks are available for rental but only the ramp equipped trucks can be used for one way rentals. U-Haul is another company that does one way rentals of it’s trucks. The company was started in 1945 which shows that renting vehicles for one way trips is not something new. The interesting thing is that the company of U-Haul was built on renting vehicles for one way trips. The idea was so popular and caught on so well that U Haul became a national chain. There are other Iowa City car rental companies that do one way rentals now including Avis, Budget, Dollar and Alamo.

Where To Hire A Car In Lanzarote
When you’re making your travel preparations, be sure to include your car rental considerations in your travel checklist. Here’s an article discussing car hire (auto rental) when visiting Spain.
You have several options of where to hire a car in the Spanish island of Lanzarote. We’ll look at a couple of them here so that you have the information you need to decide what is best for your holiday before you go. (You may be more familiar with the term “car rental”, we’ll use the term “car hire” here.)
Airport Car Hire Lanzarote
Most people sort out a car from one of the car hire Lanzarote airport providers. This saves the cost of a taxi or the hassle of a bus to get to your resort. As there are a lot of providers operating at the airport you have plenty of choice when it comes to finding the right car for your circumstances.
If you arrange you car hire ahead of your arrival you will be able to get your car as soon as you arrive and start to enjoy your holiday. Remember that if you arrange you car hire through a third party like your travel agent or hotel then you will be far more likely to pay more as they will take a commission on the hire.
Car Hire From Where You Are Staying
If you are on a package deal that includes airport transfers then you may not need a car to get you from the airport. If you just want to hire a car for the odd day trip then hiring a car from a provider can be a good option. Bear in mind that these providers tend to be more expensive than those at the airport and some of the independent ones have older cars.
These are the two many ways of sorting out your Lanzarote car hire. Do you research as you may find that hiring a car in advance from one of the suppliers at the airport could be a lot cheaper than hiring for just a couple of days from a provider near your hotel. Think about what you want to do on your holiday and what you can afford. If you are just planning to relax by the pool then a bus transfer may be best, but if you want to get out and explore the island then car hire is a must.
