Different Types of Travel Kits

September 16, 2010 · Posted in Travel Checklist, Travel Preparation · 1 Comment

Travel kits refer to small bags/pouches that have everything that you need for personal use while traveling. Having a travel kit is more practical than packing items like toothpaste and shampoo loosely – these kits keep everything neatly contained in one package. There are several types of travel kits available for different situations like a travel first aid kit, a travel toiletry kit, a kid’s travel kit, and of course different kits for both men and women because the needs of each will be quite different.

Selecting a travel kit may depend on the purpose of your travel. For instance, if you are bound for some adventure travel or camping, you might need a travel first aid kit. A first aid travel kit is similar to a regular first aid kit, only it’s smaller. This type of travel kit will help you to be prepared in case unfortunate things may happen along the way. Another type of travel kit is the toiletry kit. A travel toiletry kit is considered to be the most important and common type of travel kit available. It provides great convenience because your toiletry items are well organized in a handy container and is great for any type of travel you happen to be doing.

On the other hand, a kid’s travel kit is a little bit different than those for adults. Adult travel kits are usually smaller compared to it because it serves a different purpose. An adult’s travel kit is intended to make you ready and tidy everywhere you go while a kid’s travel kit is intended to keep them entertained while traveling. It usually contains coloring books, food, toys and other things that will not make them feel bored especially in long trips. However, you can also find a travel kit for kids that also have standard toiletries like those for adults.

Given this information, your choice of travel kits should be based on where and how you are going to use them. A travel kit can consist of any number of small items that can be properly “kitted” together because they have a similar use. Most times this is referring to the bathroom items of a toiletry kit, but there are also other types, as mentioned above.

Traveling the World in Style

Backpacking generally involves traveling the world with fewer budgets and generally it involves places which are not that costly. Hence it can be said that backpacking generally does involve much of show off. It in fact is a meager exercise. But when backpacking is done in style it becomes flashpacking gear. It is better said that flashpacking does not just involve moving with lots of money and lots of technological gadget. Instead when one sets to travel the world with some fashion or flash it can be known as flashpacking. Money is always not associated with the phenomenon of flashpacking.

A person who carries a digital camera or a MP3 player cannot necessarily be called a flashpacker instead a person who moves about with the old manual camera can also be called a flashpacker because flashpacker involves a style of its own. This is because the entire exercise of traveling is an adventure and hence that needs to be done in style. But at the same time if you want to be a flashpacker instead of a backpacker it is recommended that you can carry a laptop with yourself. The laptop which you carry with yourself can be of great help. It can be far better than the guide books. With the help of laptops you can actually get updated information about every aspect of traveling.

Hence it is very clear that for flashpacking you do not need lots of money. The thing that is most important in case of flashpacking is the style and fashion that you can incorporate. As you move about the world you should have a style of your own and you need to be distinguished from others. Thus get set go for flashpacking with adequate information and at the same time you just cannot forget some of the important accessories.
