My Family Holiday To Perpignan, France
The Airport
My family holiday to Perpignan started when we arrived at the airport. It’s a small one that’s close to the town. It’s a nice place with helpful and amiable staff. Being a tourist you’ll easily feel comfortable when you get to meet their airport personnel. Getting hold of our checked-in baggage was fast and easy. We didn’t have to wait long unlike other airports where you’d have to wait 15-20 minutes for your bags to arrive. There were many taxi cabs waiting so we didn’t have a problem getting to the apartment where we checked in. We were told that shuttle buses were available but we chose to go by taxi as we didn’t know the way.
Rue Des Amandiers Holiday Apartments.
We stayed in the Rue Des Amandiers for our holiday. We took the weekly rate as it worked out cheaper. This apartment was so clean and equipped that we never had a reason to ask the staff to bring us anything more. We were greeted with a complete choice of facilities, like the clothes dryer and washer that we really needed as we took just a few clothes to have more room in our luggage for things that we bought. The kitchen was also complete. The room was so nice that all four of us were neither cramped nor felt uncomfortable. It had all the basics that we needed. Apart from that, this apartment was so near to everything that taking a taxi ride wasn’t necessary.
Great Central Location
The location of the apartment is right in the center of Perpignan so once we walked out of the building there was no need to catch a bus or ride a taxi cab as the restaurants, shops or museums, and just about everything, took only a few minutes walk to get to from our Perpignan apartment. Walking was always enjoyable because at every corner there was something interesting like a castle, old buildings, antiques dealers and shops that caught our attention.
If you’re planning to take a vacation to this wonderful Catalan city, never forget to bring a camera. The sights are too magnificent not have a memento of. We were blessed with good weather on that trip and we were truly thankful for it the whole time. It allowed us to explore and discover the wondrous history of this special place in Southern France that has so much to offer to the locals and tourists alike.
