The need to take a break and get away from the busy and congested city life comes every so often and when you do actually have the time to take a vacation, log cabin holidays are definitely on top of the list.  For the most part, log cabin breaks are very popular because of the scenery and many other great things to look forward to for the duration of your vacation.

Popular Log Cabin Vacation Spots

UK happens to be blessed with a lot of green areas where people can enjoy their down time and appreciate the gifts of nature.  Some of the best places to visit  and/or stay at is The Lake District, Cornwall, Yorkshire, and Hampshire.  All of these places have beautiful accommodations for individuals or families regardless of their preferences and budget.

Features and Activities

Apart from enjoying the scenes of nature, you can also do a lot of thing when you are on a log cabin holiday.

Hiking/Mountain Climbing- There are mountains and treks that nature lovers can explore great heights and see the world from a very different and refreshing perspective.  You have guides to accompany your trekking and keep you safe and sound on the journey.

Swimming and Other Water Sports- For water sports enthusiasts, the warm summer is definitely the best time of the year to really get wet and wild.  Whether you are an experienced athlete or someone who is really interested to learn, any of the above mentioned destinations will give you the experience you want.

Booking for log cabin holidays is fairly easy as long as you have internet connection.  Most destinations accept reservations online through their website, which is quite convenient for locals as well as tourists.  There are also special rates during certain times of the year and/or for large groups especially those that will opt to stay longer.

Choosing the Right Accommodation for Your Winter Holiday

Are you planning a vacation in the UK?  Perhaps in need of a short break holiday?  If you have a bit more to pack and carry with you, or you’re just not up to the hustle and bustle of a bus tour, you might want to consider staying in one place in a cozy accomodation.

Find a Log Cabin for Your UK Holiday

Perhaps money is tight at the moment and you have decided to go away when it is a cheaper time, or perhaps you’d prefer to go away when all the tourists have gone. Either way, when going away in the UK, in the winter, it is very important that you choose the right type of accommodation as the weather is not always brilliant. If you’re not from the UK and are reading this article you may not know that our weather is somewhat unpredictable even at the best of times. It is fairly safe to predict though if you go away for a week in the autumn or winter months you’re guaranteed at least a day of rain. If you go up north you may even get a good dowsing of snow.

For this reason it is particularly important to choose the right type of accommodation, the sort of accommodation you want needs to be practical to deal with bad weather and for you to be able to keep it clean regardless of what the weather is doing outside. You want somewhere that’s got a nice outside area which is undercover so that you can scrape the mud off your boots and take off wet clothing outside without dragging it into the main living area.

If you’re taking children away with you then you will definitely want to find somewhere where they can be entertained. By making sure of this if there is bad weather, you will not all be trapped together with nothing to do!

The type of accommodation and I would suggest everyone opts for if taking the UK self catering holiday would be a log cabin. A log cabin is warm, cosy, excellently furnished and is generally a great place to spend time. If you choose to go to for a cabin that is on a holiday park there will no doubt be some children’s entertainment so if you do have a week of rain there be no tears and everyone will be happy. The Log Cabin Holidays Directory has an extensive selection of log cabin holiday cabins throughout the UK for you to browse.

Have you had any experiences staying at one of the UK Log Cabins?  Would you recommend them to others?  Please leave a comment and share your knowledge.
